From 20 December to 30 September 2019
The exhibition "Depositi di Capodimonte. Stories yet to be written" (20 December 2018 - 15 May 2019), organized by the Museum together with the Electa publishing house, is the second chapter of a trilogy of exhibitions that challenges the constitutive principle of the museum, proposing it not more as a static and immobile entity, presumed to be a master's lesson, but as a place of freedom, creativity, expressive potential.
In this exhibition hundreds of works will be exhibited including paintings, statues, tapestries, porcelain, weapons, and objects of decorative arts coming only from the five deposits of Capodimonte , to tell their role and history between choices, sometimes pitiless, imposed by the dictates of taste , the nature of the museum's collection or the state of conservation of the works.
