From 15 November to 24 October 2021
The exhibition by Santiago Calatrava , famous Spanish architect, engineer and sculptor, in the rooms of the Capodimonte palace, in the Cellaio and Church of San Gennaro, historic buildings in the woods, traces the rich artistic production of the master through the graphic evolution of his works.
More than two hundred works including architectural models accompanied by the related preparatory studies, paintings in watercolor, ceramics and various monumental and small-sized sculptures made of bronze, marble and wood, works often inspired by the forms and structures found in nature. Light, a fundamental element to outline, tell and enhance the path, defined each time by an innovative lighting project, with respect to the spaces, internal and external, to the characteristics of the materials that make up the works and their location, will enchant the visitor.
