The MO.CA - Montecatini Terme Contemporary Art is located in the historic center of the city. Montecatini Terme is famous for spa tourism and is an exceptional place of historical and cultural beauty. The Museum is located in the twentieth-century Palazzo Comunale and thanks to the restorations it has been possible to restore the spaces. Originally the function of the building was as a post office and we can also see this in the stained glass windows of Galileo Chini. The collection exhibited in the municipal spaces includes artists of international importance such as Joan Mirò, Pietro Annigoni and the sculptures of Claraz. The Museum was founded to spread and enhance the contemporary art and artistic culture of Montecatini Terme. The Museum aims to be an avant-garde space for the dissemination and understanding of visual languages through educational workshops for adults and children. The exhibition project includes a space dedicated solely and exclusively to the exhibitions of young local artists under 35.
