The show

FMAV Higher Education School inaugurates on 16 September 2022 (until 30 September 2022) , on the occasion of a justice-themed philosophy festival , a new project that sees young emerging talents as protagonists in the spaces of Via Giardini 160.

Like the tide - A women story is the title of the project by artist Chiara Negrello , born in 1995 and member of Women Photograph, curated by Emilia Jacobacci and Giorgia Padovani , art historians and independent curators based in Modena and Milan, former students of the course for curators of the contemporary image ICON, Course promoted by FMAV Scuola di alta training.

Chiara Negrello's project tells the role of women in society through the history and life of clam-catching women in the Po Delta region, through a selection of unpublished photographic images and video materials presented for the first time on the occasion of the festival .

In a context still strongly linked to patriarchal models, the experience of women who, following the crisis in the textile sector of the 1980s, reinvent themselves in a 'men's' job, represents a breaking point that opens the door to construction of a new mentality. The issues of social roles, gender equality, as well as the recognition of women within the family, are at the basis of the redefinition of life models, towards greater social justice based on the dignity of work and respect for the person.
