The Francesco Messina Studio Museum houses 80 sculptures and 26 works on paper chosen from among the most valuable by the Sicilian artist. Made throughout the life of the master, they document his great technical ability and interest in realism. Most of the sculptures exhibited here are made of bronze, but there are some precious works in polychrome terracotta, plaster, marble and wax, expressive of that vital moment that animates both the running horses and the lithe dancers or the faces of characters. more or less famous of the twentieth century. Even the works on paper deal with the same subjects as the sculptures: nudes, horses, portraits. Various techniques are used for the realization of these graphic works: lithographs, watercolors, pencils and pastels. The space offers exhibitions and activities related to the world of contemporary sculpture.
