From 21 June to 6 July, the first phygital exhibition The Contact arrives in Milan at Fabbrica del Vapore, in the new spaces of Alveare Culturale. The solo exhibition of the artist Matteo Mandelli//You, curated by Alisia Viola and Tommaso Venco, is promoted by Point Break and Tokenable and produced by The Crypto Gallery and T|V.

The exhibition documents, in all its contemporaneity, the movement of Phygital Art through the works of Matteo Mandelli, one of the pioneers of the international scene of this current. The intention is to break the social and material chains generated by the physical work in order to be able to mirror oneself in the infinite possibilities of digital. Everything changes according to how it is looked at, what is observed can change, perspectives change the work and so does the viewer, who is called to go beyond the physical medium and touch the digital with his hand.

When we talk about infinity, still today considered something intangible and unattainable for human beings, we immediately think of Lucio Fontana, who has distorted this poetics in art through his cuts. Matteo Mandelli, taking up the same concept, managed instead to make it totally tangible and palpable, through an extension and completion of the works of the Italian-Argentine artist, adding his own personal key.

In The Contact, the artist creates a bridge between the physical and the digital, made no longer on the traditional medium par excellence, the canvas, but on the latest generation one: the screen. The canvas and the colors are made up of the fragmentation and explosion of the liquid crystals which represent the true protagonists of his works.

The exhibition aims to be a manifesto of Phygital art in the deepest sense of the term, so far little known to the general public. An artistic-cultural, social and innovative project. The exhibition is an opportunity to get to know and come into direct contact with one of the micro-avant-gardes that is developing ever more rapidly on a global level. It is believed that between now and 2030 it will have its recognition and value within the art system. The visitor therefore has the opportunity to observe and participate in the birth of the contact through which the physical and the digital interact with each other, merging completely and living an immersive and interactive experience at 360 degrees.
