Geo: First element of compound words of learned and scientific terminology, derived from Greek or modernly formed, in which it means "earth, terrestrial globe, terrestrial surface". Metria: Second element of compounds, derived from Greek or modernly formed, in which it means 'measure' or, more often, 'measurement'.

The exhibition that opens on 4 March on the occasion of MuseoCity 2022, curated by the Rachele Bianchi Archive, is dedicated to the female figure through shapes and geometries . A choice born from the reflection on the compound word "geometry" and its two elements: "Geo" which recalls the earth and the generative primordial dimension of the female mother and "Metria" which indicates the measurement of form. The investigated and exhibited Geo Metries are not only measure but dimension of the female plane on which Rachele worked for seventy years.

The path, which winds through 46 works selected from hundreds available in the archive deposit, begins with five color drawings from the 1950s, in which Rachele, as opposed to her family, favors her vocation for art. In the first work a woman , without clothes, stands out in a field composed of colored geometries , a perfect synthesis of the thematic and figurative research typical of the artistic currents that surrounded and stimulated her.

Not far away, as if to seek a dialogue with this young woman, a characteristic bronze figure of the early years of the new millennium composed of three elements. A woman, half a century later, is supported and accompanied by her dreams made through a network of networks .
