Organized on the occasion of the XXV Winter Olympic Games in Milan Cortina, the exhibition aims to reflect on the spread of winter sports culture and the mountain as a destination for sports tourism in Italy. Through illustrated periodicals and advertising graphics, an original and little-explored perspective on the origins and evolution of these phenomena is offered, observed in parallel with changes in fashion and related accessories. 👉On display will be a selection of over a hundred items, including magazines, sales catalogs, postcards, brochures, and posters, from the rich graphic heritage of the Civica Raccolta delle Stampe Achille Bertarelli. The exhibition ranges from nineteenth-century Liebig figurines to the most recent posters dedicated to the Olympics in Mexico City 1968, Munich 1972, and Montreal/Canada 1976. 👉Among the artists represented are some of the most significant protagonists of 20th-century graphic design: Leopoldo Metlicovitz, Marcello Dudovich, Marcello Nizzoli, Giovanni Manca, Emilio Malerba, Enrico Sacchetti, Aldo Mazza, and Fortunato Depero.
