From 2 February to 2 May 2023
Over the course of its four hundred years of existence, the Ambrosiana has welcomed within its collections an astonishing variety of volumes, works of art and artifacts from all over the world, capable of telling us a story that spans over 1500 years.
Some of these, not normally exposed to the public, are now visible thanks to this exhibition set up in the windows of rooms 2 and 3, the second of a series dedicated to showing us what is "hidden", for a wider enhancement of the Institution's heritage .
Among the precious artifacts visible, two sculptural bottles from Peru and dating back to the Moche culture, from the Litta Modignani collection, Japanese uchiwa-e fans from the collections of the Lodovico Pogliaghi House Museum and four precious medals by Pisanello from the numismatic collections of the Ambrosiana .
Exhibition included in the Pinacoteca ticket.
