Guided tour | Discovering the history of the Monastery of San Vittore

Together with the curator Claudio Giorgione, we discover the historical stratifications of the monastery of San Vittore, from the archaeological remains of the Imperial Mausoleum to the Renaissance architecture of the cloisters. We enter the Baroque addition of the monastery, usually not open to the public, by visiting the Anticenacle Room with the altarpieces in storage by the Brera Art Gallery. We explore the Sala del Cenacolo, the ancient refectory of the Monastery, and take a close look at the squares by Giuseppe Maria Castelli and the figures by Pietro Gilardi, among the most important Baroque decorations in Milan.

Duration 45min | 12 people participating | +12 years

Activity included in the entrance ticket to the Museum, with compulsory online booking on the Museum website
