The cappuccino from the Capuchins

The cappuccino from the Capuchins:

An art history course on the themes of Franciscanism

25 March 2023

Capuchin Museum

Via Antonio Kramer, 5, Milan

Closed now: open at 15:00

Santa Chiara and San Francesco through the eyes of the greatest painters. From Giotto to Lorenzetti, from Simone Martini to Lorenzo Lotto.

The Cappuccino dai Cappuccini 2023 edition offers two lessons on the theme of St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi. Giotto, the Master of Santa Chiara, Simone Martini and many artists who over the centuries have given the image of Saint Francis and Saint Clare of Assisi are the protagonists of this second edition. It is an opportunity to introduce ourselves to the theme of the year: eight hundred years since the approval of the Rule of Saint Francis and eight hundred years of the presence of the Sisters of Saint Clare in Milan.

Saturday 25 March from 9.00 to 11.30. During the break a cappuccino (or coffee) will be offered.

The course is curated by Rosa Giorgi, director of the Museo dei Cappuccini, and will take place in the auditorium in via Kramer, 5.

Participation is by free offer but booking is mandatory: 02.77122580 - 584 or [email protected]
