With the arrival of the autumn season, contemporary art resumes to flow freely in the national and international artistic panorama. In Livorno , the restart will start on 17 September 2022 with the thirteenth edition of the COMBAT PRIZE , the international contemporary art competition organized by the cultural association Blob Art, in partnership with the Municipality of Livorno, with the support of the Livorno Foundation, of the Sillabe publishing house together with the partner Opera Laboratori, as well as Poliart, a leading company in the production of expanded polystyrene.The project is part, for this edition as well, in the Toscanaincontemporanea2022 tender of the Tuscany Region.

The Giovanni Fattori - Granai Civic Museum of Villa Mimbelli will host the 80 finalist works from different parts of the world in its rooms, welcoming the sections of Painting, Graphics, Photography, Sculpture - Installation and Video - Performance in its prestigious rooms.

The Prize has collected, also for this edition, an important number of adhesions: in fact 1186 the works of the artists who have responded to the call and the foreign participations come from 40 different countries.The event will end on October 8 with the awards of the winners at the Fattori Museum where for the first time the new Combat Prize worth ten thousand euros will be awarded, conferred by the jury of the Prize to an artist among the eighty finalists, in addition to cash prizes for the winners of the five sections and the Prize Special Galleries, where seven galleries - leading in the contemporary world - and an independent space (SAC, Livorno) will each select, independently of the Prize jury, an artist among the finalists to start a new collaboration that will result in a personal exhibition or collective in its spaces in the 2022/23 season, thus giving continuity to the open discussion during participation in the Award.
