closed Gastone Razzaguta voice and memory of the art of Labronica

The event

On the occasion of the anniversary of the birthday of the artist Gastone Razzaguta (1890-1950), an initiative will be created dedicated to the enhancement of this important figure.

Razzaguta was a self-taught artist, man of letters, animator of Caffè Bardi and was among the founders and secretary for over thirty years of the "Gruppo Labronico" , an artistic association formed in 1920 and still active today. He was also the critical voice and memory of the long season artistic Livorno in the first half of the twentieth century, eternalizing the experience of many important artists in his book "Virtues of the Labronian artists" , a publication that is still essential for the study of Livorno artists. The event will be open to the public from 17 to March 27, a limited selection of the artist's works from the civic collections and some of his printed publications will be exhibited on the ground floor of the Giovanni Fattori Civic Museum. While on the first floor some captions will show the songs with which Razzaguta presents the Livorno artists in its publication.Moreover, on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March and Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 March it will be possible to participate in guided tours in the afternoon dedicated to the initiative.
