The Liverpool Beatles Museum is a museum dedicated to the historic English band located at 23 Mathew Street. The museum, founded by Roag Best, was inaugurated on 13 July 2018. Inside, 300 original objects are exhibited along with 1,200 kept in the warehouse. The Liverpool Beatles Museum is housed in a five-story historic building and each floor is dedicated to a different period of the Beatles' history. The first floor covers the period 1959-1962, while the second and third cover the years 1963-1966 and 1967-1970 respectively. Memorabilia on display include George Harrison's Futurama guitar, John Lennon's Sergeant Pepper medals, "I Am the Walrus" cello and Pete Best's Premier drums. Also found here are Paul McCartney's bass speaker, Lennon's egg-shaped chair, police logbooks listing the names of the Beatles escort officers during their visit to New York City, the doll " All You Need Is Love "and Elvis Presley's gifts to the band.
