The Musée de l'Abri Pataud is a prehistoric site located in the Dordogne, in the small commune of Les Eyzies-de-Tayac, in the Nouvelle Aquitaine region of France. It is located not far from the famous Lascaux Caves and is part of the National Museum of Natural History. The site has been classified as a historical monument since 1930. The stratigraphic sequence includes different periods of the Upper Paleontolithic, tracing a total of about 15,000 years of history. The museum has been open to the public since 1990 and within the site the visitor will be able to see several skeletons of primitive men, various hunting tools used, as well as the graffiti that are preserved on the walls.
