The MUSEUM HET REMBRANDTHUIS also known simply as Rembrandthuis is a house located in the Jodenbreestraat in Amsterdam where Rembrandt lived and painted for many years. The house has been completely renovated inside to show the real environment in which the artist lived. Connected to the house is a modern building in which Rembrandt's works and his collection of objects from all over the world are exhibited.
Rembrandt bought the house in 1639 where he lived until he went bankrupt and was forced to auction off all his belongings.
