The Musée de la Résistance et de la Déportation de l'Isère is a museum in Grenoble relating to the history of the Second World War from the point of view of local facts and experiences. It was built by ex-resistance fighters, ex-survivors deportees and teachers, in a pedagogical and transmitting spirit, in the desire to create a museum of history and society. The museum's collection consists of important documents, including more than 80 posters, autographed drawings, numerous photographs, prints (flyers, reports, brochures) or original newspapers. It also consists of various objects such as pieces related to everyday life, weapons, false administration stamps and mementos of deportees. Audio and audiovisual stories collected throughout the year complete the collection. Designed as a place of memory, knowledge and exchange around the Second World War in the Isère, its main mission is to interest the younger generations, arouse their curiosity and provoke their reflection. In addition to the organization of various temporary exhibitions, the museum has an educational space designed as a place for animation and awareness on the themes of the Second World War. Various workshops are offered throughout the year: educational workshops for schools, but also creative workshops for young audiences in relation to the museum's temporary exhibitions.
