No one has ever seen him, no one knows his face, there are no pictures that show him: yet Banksy conquers the world through works of unheard-of ethical, evocative and thematic power. Originally from Bristol, born around 1974, framed within the generic boundaries of Street Art, Banksy represents an exemplary case of popularity for a living artist from the time of Andy Warhol. Today we can consider him the greatest global artist of the new millennium.
The exhibition brings together over 100 original pieces by the British artist. There are freehand paintings of the very first period, the result of the discovery of Blek le Rat and his use of the stencil. There are screenprints that Banksy considers serial craftsmanship to spread his messages.
