The exhibition, The Skin of Rock GALAPAGOS by Enzo Barracco, was born from an idea of the Representation in Italy of the European Commission, and was organized in collaboration with the Association of Museum Promoters of the Sea and the Mu.MA Institution. It will be presented from December 23 to January 31 at the Exhibition Gallery of the Galata Museum of the Sea in Genoa, in a national preview. At the inauguration, scheduled for December 23 at 12 pm, in addition to the photographer Enzo Barracco, the following will speak: Pierangelo Campodonico, Director of Mu.MA, Mauro Iguera, President of the Association of Museum Promoters of the Sea, Massimo Pronio, Communication Manager of the European Commission Representation in Italy, Nicoletta Viziano, President of Mu.MA. Free admission for the entire duration of the exhibition, upon presentation of a green pass. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, National Park and Marine Reserve, the Galapagos archipelago in Ecuador is told through 10 large-format images that immortalize its lava rocks and unique endemic animal species that inhabit it: from the blue-footed booby, unique in its kind, to the giant tortoises, to the marine iguana. Animal species that were the subject of Charles Darwin's on-site research. The official name of the Galapagos Islands is the Columbus Archipelago.
