The exhibition is dedicated to the trees used in the past to build boats and sailboats: forty drawings on paper inspired by Genoa, the sea, navigation, and wooden boats. Sketches with nibs and inks made from berries and flowers, handcrafted by the author. The exhibition is accompanied by a catalog, in collaboration with Mu.MA and the Association of Promoters of Maritime and Navigation Museums. The exhibition can be visited until January 30th at the Saletta dell'Arte. At the inauguration, which includes a first moment in the Auditorium and a second in the Saletta dell'Arte, the artist and curator Maurizio Daccà, Vice President of the Association of Promoters of Maritime Museums and Mu.MA Councilor, will intervene together. Maria Grazia Dallera is known as the lady of the trees: she represents wood as a living and pulsating material, enhancing the culture of using and reusing wood and natural materials to improve the quality of life. She addresses with simplicity an original theme; her woods enhance with delicate hints of color the scents of the Ligurian land and sea, the history of the Galata Museum of the Sea, the largest maritime museum in the Mediterranean.
