From 9 January to 16 February 2020 , the Edoardo Chiossone Museum of Oriental Art hosts The colors of Japan, a photographic exhibition by Fabio Accorrà, a sort of travel diary, written with the colors of the land of the Rising Sun : from the white of Mount Fuji , to the yellow of the Nikko foliage, to the intense blue of Lake Hakone , passing through the gold of the Kinkakuji temple in Kyoto and the orange of the torii of Shinto shrines.
Alongside the photographs of the most famous travel destinations, which recall the landscapes of meisho-e prints, there are images of famous places. of the Japanese artistic production of the nineteenth century, we also find more unusual destinations, but with a strong chromatic charm. The distinctive character of Fabio Accorrà's travel photography is in fact the attention to color, both in landscapes and in subjects.
