Corto Maltese was "born" in Genoa. Yet his city had never paid homage to him before. And so it goes where it all started. He arrives at Palazzo Ducale, in the Sottoporticato space, for the exhibition that opens on October 14 dedicated to the Southern Seas that have made Corto Maltese an icon of travel, freedom and respect for the cultures encountered. originals between tables and watercolors, accompanied by an original multivision, a sort of lantern so as not to lose the route and immerse yourself in the stories of the most loved adventurer in Italy and beyond. Kirk, it cost 500 lire and collected some of the most beautiful strips created by Hugo Pratt in the Argentine period. The publisher was Florenzo Ivaldi from Genoa, and he had a great admiration for Pratt. In addition to the story of Sgt. Kirk, Ivaldi's magazine published a new unpublished adventure: A Ballad of the Salty Sea. For this reason it seemed right to give the exhibition catalog the appearance of an imaginary new issue by Sgt. Kirk and, to pay homage to the many collectors and enthusiasts of this varied "Pratt World", it was decided to publish an unpublished story for the 'Europe, thanks to the Argentine collectors Guillermo Parker and Aldo Pravia: The justice of Wahtee, published in Super Misterix in May 1955.
