From 6 June to 6 June 2026
From June 5th to 8th, 2025, Archivissima, the Festival of Archives, returns to Turin. Four days to discover, narrate, and delve into cultural heritage, collections, and the history of archives. The 2025 Festival, conceived and supported by Promemoria Group and organized by the cultural association Archivissima, will be enriched by the programming of Archivissima EXTRA. The 2025 edition will be dedicated to the theme "Towards the Future". On June 6th, 2025, the tenth edition of La Notte degli Archivi will take place, involving archives from all over Italy. La Notte degli Archivi, sponsored by ANAI - Italian National Archival Association, is part of the Archivissima Festival program.
Fondazione A.N.M.I.G. - Liguria, through the Historical Archive of the Rapallo Section, joins the initiative through its original production The Longest Shadow. Three documents, one story: A.N.M.I.G. 1945-1946. The project, curated by Agostino Pendola (Regional President - A.N.M.I.G. - Liguria) and Matteo Lenuzza (Cultural Director - A.N.M.I.G. Liguria), represents the institution's first participation in the event. This occasion is chosen to publicly present the valuable archival heritage of the institution, which will be involved in the initial stages of a long and specific enhancement process in the coming years.
This purpose will be achieved in collaboration with Casa del Mutilato in Genoa and a network of local entities committed to historical preservation and dissemination. Thus, two parallel but closely interconnected horizons will take shape: the continuation of historical-artistic events production, linked to the Modern and Contemporary Art Collection A.N.M.I.G., and activities dedicated to the dissemination of stories and information found in the historical documents preserved by the Foundation.
The Longest Shadow. Three documents, one story: A.N.M.I.G. 1945-1946 aims to intercept the stimulating research theme proposed by Archivissima for 2025 — "Towards the Future" — through an illustrative testimony of the political complexity of the post-World War II period, marked by an immediate and necessary path towards the establishment of a democratic present.
Just as in Giorgio Bassani's story "A Tombstone in Via Mazzini," the memory of a very recent past is approached through an uncomfortable yet real inheritance, in its rawness: the presence in society, after war and regime, of ideologically distant figures. The digital content, created in collaboration with Cinzia Algesi, will be available on the Archivissima website starting from June 6th.
