About 2 km. downstream of today's Falerone in the locality of Piane di Falerone there are the remains of the urban area of the ancient city of Falerius Picenus, with the adjacent cemetery areas and suburban villas. Visit route: the theater is visible from the architectural complexes of the Roman city, a monumental building isolated in the middle of the countryside, of which you can still admire the first and second order of the steps, part of the scenic building and the front of the proscenium at circular and rectangular niches at the base of the wall of the frontescena, the aqueduct tank, with a trapezoidal plan; three pools, called "pools" or "Regina's baths", not far on the hill. The archaeological tour ends with a visit to the Civic Archaeological Museum in Falerone.
