The Kunsthalle im Lipsius-Bau is an exhibition space in Dresden dedicated to contemporary art. It is part of the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden, the state collection of the Land of Saxony. It is located in the Lipsius-Bau, a 19th century building in the old town which is located near the Academy of Fine Arts and not far from the Albertinum . The building is named after its architect, Constantin Lipsius, and is crowned by a dome popularly known as the "lemon press". The Kunsthalle im Lipsius-Bau organizes temporary exhibitions by visual artists of contemporary art. Inside, consisting of a large hall and several side rooms, important exhibitions on Sigmar Polke, Martin Honert and Robert Stadler have already been exhibited.
