Villa Del Bene in Volargne di Dolcé is not only the material history of a private residence, it is the history of physical, architectural and pictorial changes determined by changes in tastes, family events and strategies of social ascent. It is a journey through a complex economic, architectural, political and religious history that has continuously redesigned the spaces and roles of the complex between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.

A silent recorder that intercepted the discontinuous flow of events over time, on the fundamental trajectory of the Val d'Adige and the Via Tridentina that connected Verona with the Tyrol, almost at the watershed between two or more worlds: the Nordic one, the Venetian-Venetian one. , the Po valley.

Located on the ancient Roman via Claudia Augusta then Tridentina and a few steps from via dell'Adige, the Villa, first modified in the fifteenth century with the addition of the portico and loggia, and then in the sixteenth century, in the second half of the 1700, with Benedetto Del Well, find the latest interventions that gave it the current set-up.

Going beyond the sixteenth-century portal, attributed to the architect and urban planner Michele Sanmicheli, one finds oneself, taking up the ancient eighteenth-century denominations, inside the first courtyard called Sunday which gives access to the noble and oldest part of the Villa. Then there is the courtyard of the well, the spatial center of gravity of the villa and finally a park in place of the eighteenth-century court of wood.

The pictorial apparatus of Villa Del Bene includes the stories of the Apocalypse in the central hall, while in the three side rooms there are other stories from the Old and New Testament and in the loggia a complex plot of pagan and hermetic subjects unfolds.
