The Bauhaus Museum Dessau is a museum in Dessau-Roßlau dedicated to the famous German art and design school Bauhaus. Inaugurated in 2019, on the occasion of the centenary of the creation of the Bauhaus, it is the museum of the Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau, a foundation that since 1994 has been involved in preserving and transmitting the heritage of the Bauhaus and keeping its ideas alive. It is located in the Stadtpark Dessau, a large park in the city center. The museum's collection includes around 50,000 objects and is the second largest Bauhaus-themed collection in the world, with in particular objects related to the phase in which the school was based in Dessau, between 1925 and 1932. It consists of objects of design, graphic works, sculptures, paintings, drawings, photos, furniture, educational documents and various legacies of the members of the Bauhaus.
