The Museo dell'Olio della Sabina, inaugurated in 2001, is located in the sixteenth-century Palazzo Perelli in Castelnuovo di Farfa, a recently restored historic building. The Museum celebrates the ancient civilization of oil and olive trees through the combination of contemporary art and the centuries-old olive-growing tradition of the area. The history of this production finds its expression in the exhibition of works by artists such as Maria Lai, Alik Cavaliere and Hidetoshi Nagasawa. The Oil Museum also offers the public events, educational courses and didactic activities concerning contemporary art.
