The BeGo Museum Benozzo Gozzoli, preserves and enhances the works that the Florentine painter Benozzo Gozzoli created in Castelfiorentino, in the heart of Valdelsa, at the end of the 1400s. Here you can get to know Benozzo Gozzoli, his frescoes, and the sinopias of the two majestic wayside tabernacles, the one of the Visitation and the one of the Madonna della Tosse. You can grasp the spirit of these works and the time in which they were created, the Renaissance. You can discover the technique of fresco, sinopia, and the complex operations for detachment, carried out for reasons of protection and conservation. The BeGo museum is accessible to people with reduced physical mobility or who use a wheelchair to move around, it is equipped with free support for visitors with sensory disabilities (people with blindness or visual impairment, people with deafness using sign language or lip-reading) and materials to facilitate the visit for people with intellectual disabilities.
