The BeGo Benozzo Gozzoli Museum

The BeGo Benozzo Gozzoli Museum preserves and enhances the works that the Florentine painter Benozzo Gozzoli created in Castelfiorentino, in the heart of Valdelsa, at the end of the 1400s. Here you can get to know Benozzo Gozzoli, his frescoes and the sketches of the two majestic street tabernacles, that of the Visitation and that of the Madonna della Cough. You will be able to grasp the spirit of these works and the time in which they were created, the Renaissance. You will be able to discover the technique of fresco, sinopia and the complex operations for detachment, carried out for protection and conservation reasons. The BeGo museum is accessible to people with reduced physical mobility or who use wheelchairs to get around, it is equipped with free visit aids for people with sensory disabilities (people with blindness or low vision, people with deafness, signers and oralists) and materials to facilitate visiting people with intellectual disabilities.
