The Museum of Cardiff is a Cardiff city history museum. Inside there is a precious collection that preserves an important part of the city heritage and helps to tell the history of the city, from the earliest times, through the industrial boom of coal, up to today. Most of the collection therefore includes objects and photographs that tell the personal stories of the people who shaped the city. The collection is constantly growing and has the primary goal of representing the diversity of Cardiff and its communities, past and present. Objects from the past and today are collected, not even excluding contemporary collecting. Collecting objects and stories of the present means passing on their value to future generations.
