Villa Forni Cerato is a Venetian villa in the province of Vicenza designed in 1565 by the architect Andrea Palladio, since 1996 it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The state of conservation of the building is unfortunately in jeopardy as it is in a state of neglect. Villa Forni Cerato represents an exemplary case of Palladian intervention on a pre-existing building, transformed, albeit with modest means, into a significant monumental episode. This villa, designed by Palladio, was commissioned by a rich timber merchant Girolamo Forni and a great collector of antiques and a member of the Olympic Academy of Vicenza.
