The DB Museum Koblenz (Museum of German Railways) is a railway museum in Koblenz. Opened in 2001, it is a branch of the DB Museum based in Nuremberg. The collection of historic vehicles on display includes around 50 locomotives and 50 passenger and freight wagons. as well as old steam locomotives and sedans. The museum is housed in the former freight wagon repair shop in the Neuendorf district, built in 1905. The vehicles are exhibited in the former wagon hall and in the outdoor area. Most of the locomotives and trains on display are freely accessible and can be admired in detail. The two major themes exhibited by the museum, electric traction and rail travel, are further explored through audiovisual documents, scale models and photographs. Some of the vehicles on display in Koblenz and Halle are operational and are used for station parties and events.
