Palazzo Monti is pleased to invite you to the opening of “Salto in Altro”, which will be held on 4 December from 5 to 8 pm at Piazza Tebaldo Brusato 22, Brescia.

“Salto in Altro” was born from the desire to exhibit seven works of Modern and Contemporary Art, coming from private collections, to put them in dialogue with seven works produced between March and October 2021 by emerging artists during their residency at Palazzo Monti.

Sahara Longe, Bea Bonafini, Madeleine Roger-Lacan, Ian Ferguson, Vickie Vainionpää, Cathrin Hoffmann and Jonathan Silverman have related to the works of great artists such as Fortunato Depero, George Condo, Lucian Freud, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Nan Goldin, Raul de Nieves and Francesco Vezzoli.

The title of the exhibition itself, "Salto in Altro", intends to play on the mixture between the concept of "high jump", which refers to an upward movement, towards established and internationally renowned artists, and that of "other", to indicate the landing on another dimension, precisely, of encounter-confrontation and confrontation.
