From 11 March to 9 January 2026
Room XX of the Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo, dedicated to Neoclassicism, sees the departure of the paintings by Andrea Appiani that it usually hosts (the Madonna with Sleeping Child from around 1790 and Juno's Toilet from around 1810) to the Musée National des Châteaux de Malmaison et de Bois-Préau, where they will be featured in the important monographic exhibition Andrea Appiani (1754-1817). Le peintre de Napoléon en Italie (from March 16 at the Château de Bois-Préau), curated by Rémis Cariel.
This occasion has thus allowed to bring to the public's attention, until January 9, 2026, a work by the artist Giuseppe Bezzuoli, recently exhibited at Palazzo Pitti in the exhibition Giuseppe Bezzuoli (1784-1855). A major figure in romantic painting.
