The CAPC - Musée d'art contemporain de Bordeaux (formerly the Center d'Arts plastiques contemporains - CAPC) is a museum of contemporary art in Bordeaux. Founded in 1973, the museum is housed in a former wool warehouse, a building built in the 19th century, of which it occupies three floors with a vast collection of contemporary art. In the building there is also a library and the "Salon", an information and communication space that offers works for free consultation, audiovisual documents related to contemporary art or architecture, also offering the opportunity to talk and have an exchange with of cultural mediators. In addition, the CAPC regularly hosts concerts, conferences and workshops, as well as temporary exhibitions. The museum's permanent collection consists of around 1000 works by 140 different artists and is particularly rich in works related to the conceptual art movement, Land Art, six Supports / Surfaces and Arte Povera. There are works and installations by artists such as Sol LeWitt and Daniel Buren, Claude Viallat, Richard Long (with the Land Art "White Rock Line") and Mario Merz.
