Palazzo Belloni in Bologna, also known as the Cantelli house , is located on Via de 'Gombruti, at the corner with Via Barberia.
The apparent simplicity of the external appearance of the building contrasts enormously the richness of the interior spaces and in particular with the majestic staircase leading to the main floor. Always owned by the Belloni family , who had it built at the end of the seventeenth century, the palace owes its fortune, in particular, to the countless stays that Giacomo III Stuart made between 1717 and 1726. Giacomo Angelo Belloni also had a plaque affixed commemorative in marble in memory of these royal visits.
Palazzo Belloni is today a museum that opens its majestic rooms to the public on the occasion of the exhibitions of high international importance organized here.
