The Museum of the Resistance of Bologna is located in the complex of the former Convent of San Mattia and collects materials of different types relating to the history of anti-fascism , the Bolognese Resistance and Republican Italy .

The patrimony of the Museum of the Resistance of Bologna is made up of archival documents, artistic and photographic images, posters, multimedia products, testimonies of various kinds . The Museum, owned by the Municipality of Bologna, was commissioned and built by ANPI-Provincial Committee of Bologna, the Municipality of Bologna and the Parri Historical Institute which oversaw its design.

The management of the Museum is entrusted to the Parri Institute, which is based in the same complex and which articulates its cultural service in the Historical Archive, in the Library, in the Audiovisual Section and in the Didactic Section, as well as in scientific research and promotion. cultural.
