The Museum Mazzolini Collection, which opened November 23, 2015 is part of the museum complex which is located in the monumental rooms of the Columban monastery. The exhibition is preceded by three rooms that tell the story of collectors and collection. The museum is named Sunday Rose Mazzolini, passionate nurse art, which donated nine hundred works of modern and contemporary art at the Diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio in 2005, expressing his wish to create a museum. In 2005 Sunday Rosa Mazzolini donated to the diocese of Piacenza-Bobbio 899 works of contemporary art, a large fortune due to merge in his dell'ingente collecting personal collection inherited in 1994 to the death of the Faith, the sister of the doctor Giovanni Battista Ettore Simonetti. The collection includes works by prominent artists such as Enrico Baj, Renato Birolli, Carlo Carra, Massimo Campigli, Capogrossi, Giorgio De Chirico, Filippo De Pisis, Ottone Rosai, Lucio Fontana, Achille Funi, Piero Manzoni, Mario Nigro, Pomodoro, Mario Sironi, to name a few. Some of the works are exhibited in a gallery room of Alberoni in Piacenza.
