MAC Midlands Arts Center is a non-profit arts center located in Cannon Hill Park in Birmingham, England. It was born in 1962 from a common idea of John English, writer and director, his wife Mollie Randle and local politician Frank Price. Today the MAC Midlands Arts Center hosts art exhibitions, plays, concerts and film performances, workshops and lectures.
The center consists of four performance halls plus a cinema and an art gallery and is the 14th most visited free attraction in England. It has exceeded one million visitors per year.
The MAC artistic program, specializing in contemporary art, is full of events.
There were also numerous artists and musicians who performed there, including: Yoko Ono, Kate Malone and Ewen Henderson, Ruby Turner, Ocean Color Scene, UB40 and ELO.
The Midlands Arts Center is a national leader in developing work with children, families and young people of all backgrounds.
In addition to the itinerant and self-produced program, the center works diligently to give support to emerging artists and at the height of their career.
