closed Artsupp card Da Taaset a Tutankhamun

The show

In Biella until April 30th : a journey towards eternity in contact with the reconstruction of the famous Tutankhamun mask and a virtual tour of the pharaoh's tomb, in the company of its discoverer: the Englishman Howard Carter.

But before putting on the viewer, the visitor will be able to appreciate our Taaset with his own eyes, the Ptolemaic mummy conserved in the Museum of the Biellese Territory with the sarcophagus and funerary equipment. And again, the photographs taken by the great Biellese Egyptologist Ernesto Schiaparelli during his research missions that led him to make discoveries of great importance.

Two very different figures in comparison: Howard Carter and Ernesto Schiaparelli were among the great protagonists of early twentieth-century archaeological research in Egypt. The visitor will be immersed in an exhibition and narrative itinerary that exploits technological innovations, combining science and archaeological data, to address a theme – that of eternity – which has been the fulcrum of religion and Egyptian funerary rituals for millennia. An inexhaustible source of curiosity for today's audience, which continues to be fascinated by this extraordinary civilization.
