Mario Giacomelli (Senigallia, 1925-2000) was one of the greatest and most influential Italian photographers of the 20th century. A self-taught typographer by trade, he is known for his poetic and emotional style, expressed through powerful black and white shots. His works, exhibited in the most prestigious museums around the world such as the MoMA in New York, have had a strong impact on contemporary photography.
