Mario has a secret. Every time he takes a photograph, he becomes invisible. He is able to take hundreds of photos and remain completely unnoticed, like a poster on a wall or a lamppost at the corner of a street. I have never understood how he does it, but perhaps this is the key to making art: being invisible and yet at the same time undeniably there, compressing one's presence and voice to allow the world around us to decompress, expand, express itself. Something like this, the Jewish mystic Isaac Luria believed in the 16th century, happens to God at the moment of creation.
