Air strike on Mariupol maternity clinic

Iryna Kalinina (32), a pregnant and injured woman, is carried from a maternity clinic damaged during a Russian airstrike in Mariupol, Ukraine March 9, 2022. Her newborn, named Miron (meaning 'peace') , was born stillborn and half an hour later Iryna was also deceased. An OSCE report concluded that the hospital was deliberately targeted by Russia, resulting in three deaths and seventeen injuries. The jury found the photo to be an attack on Ukraine's future.
