Armando Testa was a well-known designer, cartoonist and graphic and text author for the advertising sector. He made minimalism in the graphic sign and the immediacy of tag lines his winning weapons. The advertising agency he created, the Armando Testa Group, is still today among the first, in terms of turnover and activity, operating in Italy. Testa was initiated into an artistic career by the abstract painter Ezio D'Errico, whom he met while attending the Vigliardi-Paravia typographic school. In particular, it was D'Errico himself who brought him closer to contemporary art.
