The head, completely damaged on the right side, belongs to the statuary type depicting Diomedes taking the stolen Palladio away from Troy. Of this sculpture, whose original bronze, must have dated back to the middle of the 5th century BC, several variants are known, of which this one stands out for the rendering of the modeling of the face and the treatment of the hair.
