Verified profile

The face, with its intense expressiveness, depicts a mature male character, with softly wavy hair and beard. The hair, probably modeled on the last layer of putty applied, is high and voluminous, with large swirls on the sides of the head and a large shell-like curl on the forehead. The mouth is well designed, with the upper lip left free by the large mustache curled at the bottom; the thick eyebrows are marked by some wavy lines engraved. The eyes, devoid of pupils, are completely open and slightly sunken, with the eyelids almost completely hidden by the eyebrow arch. There are traces of red on the lips and ears; on the beard, mustache and eyes there are slight remnants of a dark pigment. The stylistic character of the work is similar to that of some finds from the Hadda area.
