Box is low and round with lid. The entire surface of the object is lacquered in black, with maki-e decorations in gold and silver (vine shoots that wrap around a trellis, laden with fruit). The round mirror (d. 11 cm) is in the color of brass, with relief decoration on the back (stylized landscape with a family of cranes on a background of pines. On the other, a large paulownia coat of arms (kiri) motif stands out. Bottom right the oval imprint of a seal with three characters in vertical: a unique thing, the best on earth.
