Kapala mask from Tibet, 20th century made of Kapala copper in the shape of a
human face lined with small skulls, 20 x 13.5 cm. The facial features are carved in relief in silver or silver metal and the eyes inlaid with
blue glass paste beads. The Kapala is used during tantric rituals; it is considered the distinctive sign of angry deities and evokes the victory of light
over all demonic forces. The dialogue takes place on an artistic, craft level, on an intercultural level. “It consists in building a bridge between the universal
and the particular, and trying to fit in with contemporary forms”.
