Specimen of Ranunculus ficaria , collected in Ivantsch (Moldavia ex USSR, Orgeev district) in a meadow at the edge of the wood on 12 April 1970. The name of the species derives from ficus or fig, due to the roots made up of tubercles that resemble small figs. The specimen is kept in the Herbarium of the Société pour l'échange de plantes vasculaires de l'Europe et du bassin méditerranéen.
