The cubic-shaped capital is decorated on all sides with pairs of doves with crossed tails; between the doves a palmette is inserted within a heart-shaped frame; on the upper edge runs an acanthus - palmette frame. This example is linked to a typology long practiced in the Byzantine sphere and is attributable to a Venetian production.
